We take this responsibility very seriously.  Any personal information gathered by The Empty Cradle during the course of any interaction between you and our staff / company will be treated in an appropriate and secure manner whereby strict confidence will be maintained.

The Empty Cradle is committed to maintaining high standards in protecting your privacy and the confidentiality of any personal information you provide to us. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Commonwealth of Australia) and other relevant State laws in relation to the management of personal information.
This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, holding, use and disclosure of your personal information. By providing any personal information to The Empty Cradle, you indicate your acceptance of this Privacy Policy.

All staff at The Empty Cradle involved in the delivery of products and services have access to, and can use, that person's private information.

The personal information we collect is directly relevant to the delivery of the information, product, service, online engagement and other initiatives provided by The Empty Cradle.

The choice of how much information you provide to us is yours, but if you want to register as a member of our website, purchase products and services, or otherwise participate in our programs and events, we require certain information from you in order to provide those services.

Wherever possible, we will try to collect personal information from you directly, rather than from another person or source, unless it is unreasonable or impractical to do so.

The information that we collect is treated with the utmost respect.  It is collected solely for the purposes of providing the best possible services to you. You may choose not to disclose information to us and we respect this, however it does not allow us to be informed about the range of factors that might impact on your individual circumstances and this may impact of the quality of service provided.

THE EMPTY CRADLE MAINTAINS HIGH STANDARDS TO PROTECT YOUR PRIVACY THROUGH THE RECORDING, CORRESPONDENCE, ACCESS AND STORAGE OF INFORMATION.
The Empty Cradle is not liable for any harms arising from contacts with any third parties you have met in the delivery of The Empty Cradle products and services, online or any other manner.  This includes any personal contact with other members of hosted forums, groups, website, social media or in person.

YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS
The Empty Cradle will only record your email address in the event that you send us a message by email or if you register for regular information updates. Your email address will only be used for the purpose for which you have provided it. Your email address will not be added to any mailing lists without your prior consent by way of a specific request in writing. We will not use or disclose your email address for any other purpose, without your prior written consent.
Where you have agreed to receive The Empty Cradle emails, your email address will be used to send you blog posts, newsletters and information about our programs, related issues, products, services or activities. You will be provided with an opportunity in each email communication to decline to receive any further communications from The Empty Cradle by unsubscribing.

Regardless of where in the world you reside, The Empty Cradle may transfer your data to Australia and process and store it there. While the data is in that jurisdiction it may be accessed by the courts, law enforcement and national security authorities according to the laws in that jurisdiction.

Other than for the purposes described above, The Empty Cradle will not use your personal information without your prior consent.

SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION
Access to The Empty Cradle records and computer systems is controlled and closely monitored. Staff and authorised external users have restricted access only to the systems that their duties require. The computer systems have security passwords and all staff are bound by a strict code of conduct.

For example, your personal information is maintained in a secure environment, which can be accessed only by authorised personnel.

The Empty Cradle does not directly transfer or disclose personal information from Australia to any countries overseas.

You may request access to your personal information collected through our Services at any time. Please contact us and we will endeavour to respond as soon as possible. There may be some legal or regulatory reason why access is denied or amendment refused. If this is the case, we will tell you why.

If you believe any of the personal information we hold about you is not accurate, complete or current, we will take reasonable steps to correct the information or delete it. To request that your personal information be corrected, updated or deleted, please contact us.

You may make a complaint regarding our privacy practices (including any suspected breach of the Australian Privacy Principles), by contacting The Empty Cradle via the Contact Form on The Empty Cradle website.

We will investigate your complaint, provided that it is not vexatious or frivolous. We will contact you within a reasonable period of time to advise you of the outcome of your complaint.

We will work with the appropriate regulatory authorities (if any), to resolve any complaints regarding the transfer of personal information that we cannot resolve with you directly.
